Scott is an intellectual property lawyer and registered patent attorney. Scott’s intellectual property practice includes patent prosecution, trademark registration, and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, such as inter partes review.
Scott has prosecuted patents across a wide range of technologies including software, mechanical devices, medical devices, cosmetics, food & beverage, and biotechnology. Scott’s technical expertise and knowledge of intellectual property law helps clients achieve allowance and protect the value in their intellectual property.
Scott was trained at one of the nation’s top intellectual property law firms. Prior to Eastgate IP, Scott practiced intellectual property law as a patent attorney at Knobbe Martens, managing portfolios of intellectual property, prosecuting patent applications, and conducting due diligence for companies of all sizes – including Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and independent inventors. Scott has extensive experience preparing infringement opinions and conducting validity analyses of competitor portfolios.
Scott’s intellectual property law practice is located in Bellevue, Washington. Scott earned his law degree from the University of Washington after completing his degree in biochemistry.
